Getting to HIMA
HIMA Bungalows is located on Nias Island, Indonesia. One of the top surf destinations in the world, famous for it's iconic right-hand break at Lagundri Bay, Sorake Beach.
1. Fly to Medan
To reach Nias Island, you first need to fly to Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. From there, you can take a domestic flight to Nias Island.
From International Destinations: You can fly directly to Medan from major cities like Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, and Bangkok.
From Domestic Locations: Medan has excellent air connections with Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, and many other key cities across Indonesia.
2. Fly to Gunung Sitoli
From Medan you fly to Gunung Sitoli / Binaka Airport (GNS) in Gunung Sitoli on Nias Island.

3. Travel to Lagundri Bay
Once you arrive at Binaka Airport, you can take a taxi or arrange for a transfer to HIMA Bungalows.

Once you're at HIMA, you have several options for getting around:
