Surf Spots

Our location provides access to several world-renowned surf spots:

  • Lagundri Bay – Right-hand beach break, 10 minutes’ walk or paddle
  • Sorake Beach – Right-hand point break, 10 minutes’ walk or paddle
  • Rock Start – Right-hand break, 40 minutes’ drive
  • Walo Hiu – Left-hand point break, 40 minutes by boat

Best Time to Surf

Nias Island offers great waves year-round, but the best conditions are during peak season: May to September.
